u2 no Line Anniverasry

U2 are an Irish rock band from Dublin formed in 1976. The group consists of Bono (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), the Edge (lead guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums and percussion). Initially rooted in post-punk, U2's musical style evolved throughout their career, yet has maintained an anthemic sound built on Bono's expressive vocals and the Edge's effects-based guitar textures…

Since no "Deluxe Edition" exists of this album, I decided to make my own collection while I wait for the real official edition to appear, because, it'll appear, right ??? I think you'll really enjoy this compilation. This is a mix of Rattle And Hum album, b-sides, and live tracks from the DVD that didn't appear on the album.

Using the textured sonics of The Unforgettable Fire as a basis, U2 expanded those innovations by scaling back the songs to a personal setting and adding a grittier attack for its follow-up, The Joshua Tree. It's a move that returns them to the sweeping, anthemic rock of War, but if War was an exploding political bomb, The Joshua Tree is a journey through its aftermath, trying to find sense and hope in the desperation. That means that even the anthems – the epic opener "Where the Streets Have No Name," the yearning "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" – have seeds of doubt within their soaring choruses, and those fears take root throughout the album, whether it's in the mournful sliding acoustic guitars of "Running to Stand Still," the surging "One Tree Hill," or the hypnotic elegy "Mothers of the Disappeared."

'ZOO2LIVE', a limited edition U2 live double album, was released in 2006 only to subscribers of U2.Com. Featuring 24 live tracks from the band's legendary ZOO TV Tour of the early 90's, the album came in a specially designed sleeve, with a double-sided poster celebrating the 1993 Sydney show. (The two-disc release featured one additional track - Trying To Throw Your Arms Around the World, recorded live in New York.)
