"DC One Million" was a crossover storyline that ran through a self titled, weekly limited series and through special issues of almost all "DCU" titles published by DC Comics in November 1998. It featured a vision of the DC Universe in the 853rd century (chosen because that is the century in which, assuming they maintain a regular publishing schedule, DC Comics will first publish an issue #1,000,000 of one of their current monthly titles). The mini-series was written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Val Semeiks. The core of the event was a four-issue mini-series, in which the 20th-century Justice League of America and the 853rd-century Justice Legion Alpha co-operate to defeat a plot by the supervillain Vandal Savage (who, being practically immortal, exists in both centuries as well as all the ones in between) and future Superman nemesis Solaris the Living Sun. Thirty-four other series then being published by DC also put out a single issue numbered #1,000,000, which either showed its characters' involvement in the central plot or gave a glimpse of what its characters' descendants/successors would be doing in the 853rd century...

(MGN) is a series of graphic novel trade paperbacks published from 1982 to 1993 by Marvel Comics in an attempt to emulate European-style graphic novels. They are characterized by big-name authors and artists, complete standalone stories, 8.5 x 11 inch dimensions and an emphasis on superheroes. They are also numbered in sequence--despite the fact that none of the books were connected in any way but a blanket title--but for the first twenty issues only, through 1985. Marvel released many other stories in the same format that are considered unnumbered parts of the series according to the Official Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. Overstreet continued counting beyond the original "official" numbering, following a Marvel-published list of graphic novels. When the list stopped being published, Overstreet stopped trying to number the issues, halting at issue 38, although they list 29 more issues published from 1983 through 1991, and the list is known not to include every graphic novel from this period. This lack of numbering for the rest made it so difficult to come up with a definitive list in chronological ordinal sequence, until Bob Rozakis at comicsbulletin.com came up with one in 2003. The first story (the second Marvel graphic novel produced) is by Jim Starlin, released in April of 1982. The last numbered graphic novel, #20, is written by J. M. DeMatteis and drawn by Mark Badger.

is the name of a comic book series starring Spider-Man published by Marvel Comics for 129 issues between 1985 and 1995. It replaced Marvel Team-Up as the third major Spider-Man title of the time. After #129 in October 1995, the title was renamed Web of Scarlet Spider and started again at #1. After four issues of Web of Scarlet Spider, the series was cancelled to make way for the new The Sensational Spider-Man title. This October 14, 2009, Web of Spider-Man will begin again with issue one having a Kaine centered story written by J.M. DeMatteis, as well as a Spider-Girl story by Tom DeFalco with art by Ron Frenz and still another bonus story. This is is almost a Giant first issue, and I like the artwork, too. Future stories will feature such characters as Electro, the Rhino, the Lizard, and many more from Spider-Man's colorful rogues gallery.
