Saint Dominic's Preview is the sixth studio album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison. It was released in July 1972 by Warner Bros. Records. Rolling Stone declared it "the best-produced, most ambitious Van Morrison record yet released." The diversity of the material on the album highlighted Morrison's fusing of Celtic folk, R&B, blues, jazz and the singer-songwriter genre. "Jackie Wilson Said (I'm in Heaven When You Smile)" and the title track were blends of soul and folk, while lesser known tracks such as "Gypsy" and "Redwood Tree" continued to display a lyrical celebration of nature's beauty. Also on the album were two lengthy tracks, "Listen to the Lion" and the closing "Almost Independence Day" which were given primal, cathartic and intense vocal performances from Morrison. These tracks were similar to the songs on his 1968 album, Astral Weeks.

EXCEPTIONAL 1973 BROADCAST FROM VAN THE MAN The Lion's Share broadcast from San Anselmo, CA, recorded for live transmission by KPFA FM Berkely - a listener funded station that signed on the air April 15, 1949 as the first Pacifica Radio station, and which remains the flagship station of the Pacifica Radio Network - is one of the great treasures prized by Van Morrison collectors. Featuring early and late shows, the broadcasts of both sets only reached the San Francisco Bay area, which on the night of the concert - 15th February 1973 - was rocked by a winter storm, limiting the reach even further.

While Van Morrison is, to be kind, an erratic and temperamental live performer, he's in stellar form throughout the double album It's Too Late to Stop Now, a superb concert set that neatly summarizes his career from his days with Them…

"It's Too Late to Stop Now" is a live album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, released in January 1974. Frequently named as one of the best live albums ever recorded, "It's Too Late to Stop Now" was recorded during what has often been said to be Morrison's greatest phase as a live performer. The double album is composed of performances that were recorded in concerts at The Troubadour in Los Angeles, California, the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and at The Rainbow in London from a three-month tour with his eleven-piece band, The Caledonia Soul Orchestra, from May to July 1973.

Equal parts blue-eyed soul shouter and wild-eyed poet-sorcerer, Van Morrison is among popular music's true innovators, a restless seeker whose incantatory vocals and alchemical fusion of R&B, jazz, blues, and Celtic folk produced perhaps the most spiritually transcendent body of work in the rock & roll canon. Subject only to the whims of his own muse, his recordings cover extraordinary stylistic ground yet retain a consistency and purity virtually unmatched among his contemporaries, connected by the mythic power of his singular musical vision and his incendiary vocal delivery: spiraling repetitions of wails and whispers that bypass the confines of language to articulate emotional truths far beyond the scope of literal meaning.

Released in 1970, Van Morrison's Moondance was a hit commercially and critically. Encouraged by his manager, Morrison and a sextet – including three players from the Moondance sessions – hit the studio and delivered His Band & the Street Choir in time for that year's holiday season. Morrison responded to the pressure by relaxing into it. The feel here is loose, often celebratory. He digs deep into his long-held fascination with the New Orleans R&B tradition for inspiration. "Domino" is his highest charting single.
