A concept album telling the tale of a patient in an asylum being subjected to all kinds of psychological and physical experiments, `Vector' mixes the heavy instrumental show-boating runs with frantic rock and thoughtful ballad passages that the band always deliver, even if they strip back virtually all of the Seventies/Eighties influences from their past few discs this time around, and they throw in a touch of jazz and electronica along with a big variety of rich vocal arrangements.

HAKEN, one of progressive music’s most exciting bands, have announced details of their much-anticipated fifth studio album titled ‘Vector’, due for release on the 26th October 2018. The album was produced by the band themselves, and recorded & mixed by Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood (Periphery, Devin Townsend Project), with the artwork once again being handled by Blacklake.

‘Virus’ is the culmination of a musical thought experiment which started with the ‘Vector’ writing sessions in 2017 and holds intriguing potential for the band’s future, as vocalist Ross Jennings explains, “whilst ‘Virus’ can absolutely be enjoyed as a stand-alone work, it is thematically and conceptually linked with ‘Vector’, so our intention is to perform both albums back to back for a special performance someday”.

Kanako Itō is a female Japanese singer from Utsunomiya, Tochigi, Japan. She has sung many songs that have appeared in video games and anime.

Split Enz were always a phenomenal live act who truly shone when on stage. 'Live, Alive Oh' is a brand new 30 track compilation containing live versions of all of their biggest hits and most well known songs. Disc One, the first 17 tracks, is from their 20th Anniversary Tour of New Zealand in 1993, the tracks from which have been previously released. Disc Two contains 13 tracks from Auckland's Vector Arena from their farewell tour of NZ in 2008, none of which have ever been released. Lovingly compiled by Eddie Rayner, the concept was to create an updated and definitive live greatest hits collection by this most unique of bands.

A new project with Edward Ka-Spel , Frans De Waard ( Modelbau, Bee Queen, Korm Plastics) and Nyland (Distrl, Norn). Conceived in the midst of a global pandemic, this small adventure in sound and narration blew a gap in the dark curtains to reveal a sunny day in the empty World out there. Expect more from Dynasti in the future!

"Strange Attractors" is a milestone for the DiN label in that it is the 50th album release (38 physical + 12 digital). As such it is only fitting that it should be by the driving force behind DiN, label boss Ian Boddy. Recorded live in April 2011 at the Awakenings series of electronic music concerts the album showcases Boddy at the top of his game. Employing almost exclusively analogue sound sources he crafts a seamless blend of electronica spanning 76 minutes of sonic exploration.
