Après les succès singles de 'Call on me' (en duo avec Ed Sheeran), 'Keep it simple' (en duo avec Mika), 'Le feu' (en duo avec Kendji Girac) et 'Comment on fait' (en duo avec Zazie), ce plaisir de la création musicale entre artistes qui s'apprécient à tisser son chemin et Vianney sort un nouvel album de 19 titres pour compléter cette collaboration avec 17 artistes différents (Renaud, Big Flo & Oli, Mentissa, Soprano…). Co-écrits et composés ensemble, à 2 à 3 est un album caméléon qui reflète les goûts éclectiques de Vianney et son amour pour la grande variété pop ainsi que les artistes qui l'incarnent. Khruangbin’s series of live LPs traces just one small slice of the band’s flight plan through the years: it’s a taste of some of their most beloved cities, stages and nights. Each release comes with a limited-edition unique album cover exclusive for the recording’s home turf, just a little something extra for the fans that bring a little something extra. Most of all, this series ignites both sides of the band’s magic: the warm, prismatic feeling of their albums and the bewitching energy of their performances.

Toro y Moi’s seventh studio album, Mahal, is the boldest and most fascinating journey yet from musical mastermind Chaz Bear. The record spans genre and sound—encompassing the shaggy psychedelic rock of the 1960s and ‘70s, and the airy sounds of 1990s mod-post-rock—taking listeners on an auditory expedition, as if they’re riding in the back of Bear’s Filipino jeepney that adorns the album’s cover. But Mahal is also an unmistakably Toro y Moi experience, calling back to previous works while charting a new path forward in a way that only Bear can do.

Toro Y Moi is teasing something…and it may be an upcoming live release of his 2022 album MAHAL, due out this Friday, June 30th. An album titled MAHAL (Live from Big Sur) was momentarily shared to Spotify at midnight on June 23rd, appearing on the Spotify-generated Release Radar playlist of users who listen to Toro Y Moi. However it was removed very quickly, now hidden from the artist’s profile.

Marie Hubert – Fille du Roy is the latest recording by the renowned Canadian soprano Karina Gauvin. This intriguing album brings the folklores of Quebec and France to life using song to recount the experiences of Marie Hubert, one of the Filles du Roy (the King’s daughters) intended to help populate New France. Recruited as one of almost 800 marriageable French young women, Marie crossed the Atlantic at the end of the program, which was launched in 1670 by the Roi-Soleil, King Louis XIV, and Jean Talon, his intendant in New France.

Remembered today for the Olympic Anthem, Spyridon Samaras was the most distinguished Greek composer of his day and the first to gain international recognition. By the time Mademoiselle de Belle-Isle was produced, Samaras was a well-established and much-admired opera composer in the Italian Romantic style. The narrative of the opera sees the mischievous plans of the Duke of Richelieu descending into a complex tangle of amorous deceptions, tests of faithfulness and the perils of dueling. The score for this world premiere recording has been painstakingly restored by Byron Fidetzis.

Dante Alighieri, born in Florence in 1265, was at once a poet and an important political figure of his time. His celebrated Divine Comedy relates his supposed descent to Hell and slow ascent to Paradise. Godard’s operatic treatment of his life (1890) skilfully juxtaposes the political milieu – crowd scenes in Florence and the quarrel between Guelfs and Ghibellines – with the expression of the courtly love he feels for Beatrice, betrothed to his friend Bardi.
