When Stone Temple Pilots returned to the studio in 1994 to record the band's second album, the quartet was facing the high expectations set by its debut 'Core' (1992). The release of 'Purple' in June 1994 would cement their place as one of the definitive bands of their generation as the album debuted in the top 10 of the UK Albums Chart and #1 on the Billboard chart. It went on to sell 6 million copies globally. This 3CD/1LP set includes a newly remastered version of the original studio album on both CD and vinyl, plus previously unreleased versions of album tracks and rarities, along with a full concert recording from 1994.

The albums – Shamrock Diaries (1985), On the Beach (1986), Dancing With Strangers (1987), The Road to Hell (1989) and Auberge (1991) span Rea’s commercial peak and are to be reissued as deluxe double CD sets. They will also be accessorised with period appropriate ‘additional recordings’ such as remixes, non-album and live tracks, all newly remastered.
