We are very proud to release the next installment in our brass series; a six player Trombone ensemble, complete with seven mic positions, to continue the venture of creating a series with the same controllable sonic environment/soundscape as you would have in a film scoring session.

Brass Ensemble and 3 separate Instruments: French Horns, Trombones and Trumpets. Up to 3 articulations (key switching) per instrument: Sustains, Staccato, Marcato and Crescendo. 4 separate mic positions: close (stereo and mono), middle, far, and ambience (room). Up to 6 velocity layers and 3 round robins.

Past To Future is breaking new ground! We get lots of questions about our brass sound that we use in our demos So here you have it! We have recorded four talented wind players in our studio. After a recording session with a lot of patience and passion we layered the samples together to create an authentic BIG BAND flair with an indescribably realistic analog TAPE sound that literally BLOWS you away.

Berlin Brass Expansion C is dedicated to orchestral effects, played by 4 French Horns in unison and "divisi". This collection will expand your brass palette with controllable and playable French Horn fx articulations and an extensively sampled collection of Rips, Falls, Risers, Doppler Effects.

Vintage brass contains a stunning collection of Trumpet and Flugel loops, incidentals, mini construction kits and one shot samples, all recorded through a vintage recording chain for extra character, and provided dry for utmost flexibility.

The CAGE Brass Edition contains an articulation list second to none. We wanted to create something definitive and unrivaled. The Brass Edition alone contains over 2.200 different FX articulations and it is near impossible to find an effect not covered.

Crocus Soundware is pleased to present LIMINAL: ZEPHYRIAN BRASS, a library of intimately recorded Trumpet, Trombone and Valve Trombone samples - playable using the full version of Kontakt 6.8+. The library's articulations are aleatoric, long and evolving, with the performer imparting character and movement into each sample. This library focuses on capturing a wide dynamic range of the instruments, highlighting the uniquely varied timbres hidden within those dynamics. Notably, so-called 'whisper tones' were recorded a difficult technique where the performer uses highly-controlled breaths to produce tone that barely activates the instruments resonance. The result is a fragile sound that teeters between breath and pitch. This technique evokes a warm and airy reed-like character from the instrument.
