In January 2022, one of the most powerful volcanic eruptions in recorded history rocked the Pacific islands of Tonga, sending shockwaves around the world. For the past week, the expedition has focused on Nyiragongo. The luxury cruise to New Zealand promised great entertainment and the opportunity to get up close to the renowned natural beauty of the Land of the Long White Cloud.
