Ever since BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB everyone knows what Cuban music stands for, what it expresses and what kind of emotions it transports. "Musica Original De Cuba" presents a wonderful and harmonious cross section through the passions of a wonderful island with its fascinating people and emotions. Just listen and feel good!

With the title Irish Minimalism, composer Dave Flynn has laid down a marker. Minimalism is associated with America, and specifically with composers like Steve Reich and Philip Glass (both of whom have spent a good portion of their careers disavowing the term) however, the hallmarks of the style (repetition, gradual incremental changes that accrue over time, steady rhythms which are often drawn from popular or traditional music, and a restrained sense of harmonic movement) are all compatible with Irish traditional music.

In Like Flynn is the 2004 album by American rapper Flynn Adam Atkins, who is known under the mononym Flynn. Originally a part of the group L.A. Symphony, this was his first and only album for Illect Recordings.

Halfway through his fourth year teaching at Wichita State University, guitarist William Flynn found himself on the road through the plains of Kansas to Florida's Gulf Coast for a month-long artist residency in the idyllic panhandle community of Seaside. The isolation of the ocean-front cottage, away from his life and job allowed for a barely imaginable creative focus, diving into a daily composing regimen and added time for reflection. With a band of Kansas City-based musicians - pianist Roger Wilder, bassist Sam Copeland, drummer Brian Steever, and a guest visit from vocalist Emily Merrell - Seaside deals an inspired modern jazz sound, revealing melodies and harmonies captured during a particularly rich creative episode in Flynn's career.

The Moon Also Rises –– Johnny Flynn’s sixth album, and the second co-written with his friend Robert Macfarlane –– will be released on 10 November 2023.

Singer, guitarist, flautist (and practitioner of the double tin whistle), John is also a member of celebrated traditional group Skipper’s Alley and is joined here by bandmate Ultan O’Brien (also of Slow Moving Clouds).
