W.e.t Rise up

Much to the delight of melodic rock fans around the globe, W.E.T. has announced the release of their fourth album, “Retransmission”. Core members Jeff Scott Soto, Erik Mårtensson, and Robert Såll deliver another astounding album that will surely be a contender for Melodic Rock Album of the Year 2021. W.E.T truly epitomizes what melodic rock has become in the new decade. The key element at the foundation of W.E.T has always been to create a modern melodic hard rock sound that will drive the genre into the future. Combining powerhouse rhythms and top notch production, the music is equally classic and contemporary. “Retransmission” is nothing else than an absolute milestone, which is well in keeping with the tradition established by the three amazing records that have preceded this one.

Swedish/American melodic hard rock supergroup W.E.T., which derives its acronymic moniker from the first letter of each of its three member's flagship bands, formed in 2008 after Italian record label Frontiers asked keyboardist/guitarist Robert Säll (Work of Art) and guitarist Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse) to each contribute six songs to a new project with Talisman vocalist Jeff Scott Soto. The results can be heard on their well-received 2009 eponymous debut. Road-tested and operating like a well-oiled machine, the newly minted band decided to ditch the individual approach and start writing as a unit for 2013's Rise Up, which was followed in 2014 by the live CD/DVD One Live: In Stockholm. December 2017 saw the release of the single "Watch the Fire," in anticipation of the arrival of the group's third studio effort Earthrage, which dropped in March 2018.

Bloodorn is the new power metal sensation around the two Sirenia musicians Nils Coubaron and Michael Brush as well as Silent Winter singer Mika Livas and Freedom Call bassist Francesco Saverio Ferraro.
Influenced by bands such as Gamma Ray, Angra and Beast in Black, the band also draws on some elements from the extreme metal scene. Bloodorn's music is very fast and technical, sometimes even brutal, but also very melodic and catchy: Extreme Power Metal! Bloodorn is about the fight against oppression, authority and tyranny, but also about dark gothic fantasy, shadow cults, war, inner strength, honour, Norse mythology and even some video game references.
