Roland Emmerich, director of giant Hollywood films like Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, returns to theaters next Friday, November 8, with Midway. The film details the World War II attack on Pearl Harbor and the subsequent Battle of Midway. Emmerich directs a cast that includes Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Aaron Eckhart, Nick Jonas, Mandy Moore, Dennis Quaid, Woody Harrelson, and Darren Criss.Awards Daily is pleased to premiere a cut from the film’s soundtrack composed by Thomas Wander and Harald Kloser. Moonfall is a 2022 science fiction disaster film co-written, directed, and co-produced by Roland Emmerich.Thomas Wander was immersed in music from a young age and after studying at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz, Austria he continued his studies with renowned film composers such as Jerry Goldsmith and David Raksin at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.He went on to compose the music for various Film and TV productions including Hostile Takeover, Sins of the Father, and Dracula, in addition to over 40 episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.Harald Kloser is an Austrian film composer, producer and screenwriter. Since his critical and commercial breakthrough in 2005, in which he won the BMI Film Music Award for both of his scores for Alien vs. Predator and The Day After Tomorrow,[3] he has become a regular collaborator of the latter's director, Roland Emmerich, having composed music for every one of the director's films since 2004, excluding Stonewall (2015). Out of those films, all but Anonymous (2011) have been collaborations with fellow composer Thomas Wander.
