Though its musical legacy was brief, Malcolm McLaren's post-Sex Pistols project Bow Wow Wow left its mark on the 1980s as much as contemporaries like Adam and the Ants and Culture Club. This entry in the cross-promotional VH1 Classics/BMG '80s retrospective series features hits like the punky "C30, C60, C90, Go" and the Bo Diddley-influenced "I Want Candy," as well as also-rans like the intriguing rockabilly-jungle hybrid "Aphrodisiac," the loopy "Go Wild in the Country" (the latter complete with teen singer Annabella Lwin's modern primitive free-associations), and the Debbie Harry-esque "Mile High Club."

L.A. hard rock supergroup We Are Harlot offer up a debut that makes nods to the Sunset Strip rock of the '80s, while still grounding itself in the present. Formed in 2011 by former Asking Alexandria singer Danny Worsnop and guitarist Jeff George (Sebastian Bach), the group slowly developed its sound, eventually recruiting bassist Brian Weaver (Silvertide) and drummer Bruno Agra (Revolution Renaissance) to complete the lineup. Recorded in L.A. and produced by Kato Khandwala, their debut has the cool cockiness of classic Guns N' Roses and Mötley Crüe with plenty of strong melodies and tight harmonies, marking a real departure for each of the band's members, especially Worsnop.

Hasse Fröberg & Musical Companion (HFMC) is a band formed by its namesake, Hasse Fröberg. Hasse is most famous for his work as a vocalist and occasional guitarist of symphonic prog titans The Flower Kings. After The Flower Kings went on hiatus around 2008, Hasse decided to form a new band in order to present "songs that [he has] written through the years that don't fit the The Flower Kings formula". Hasse handpicked some great musicians to release songs that he had written through the years. The result is available on 5 albums with 'We Are The Truth', released on 26 Nov. 2021. Hasse Fröberg about the album: "We Are The Truth is our most adventurous album to date. The music is positive, warm, organic, soulful and thoughtful. The lyrics are a cry for compassion, respect and love… We Are The Truth is both musically and lyrically very much about the world today".
