Kraftwerk's Wolfgang Flur in collaboration with U96. There are few genres in which German artists play such a central pioneering role as they do in electronic music, be it techno, electropop, trance or rave. At the frontline for many years were Kraftwerk and U96, two absolute trailblazers of this musical direction. While Kraftwerk wrote international music history mainly in the 1970s with cult albums such as Autobahn (1974), Radio-Aktivit?t (1975), Trans Europa Express (1977) and Die Mensch-Maschine (1978), U96 had a profound influence on the global pop music, rave and techno scene of the 1990s with hits such as 'Das Boot', 'Love Sees No Colour', 'Night In Motion' and 'Heaven'./quote]

Wolfgang Flür began his solo career in the mid-'90s, a decade after leaving Kraftwerk, with a Mouse on Mars-produced album under the name Yamo. He's since put out music under his own name, and has become more active since the 2000s, even if he hasn't been prolific on an album level. 2015's Eloquence (Complete Works) included collaborations with Meat Beat Manifesto's Jack Dangers, Anni Hogan, and (as a bonus track) Pizzicato Five's Maki Nomiya, as well as a previously issued single sharing the name of his controversial memoir, "I Was a Robot." (The other members of Kraftwerk took Flür to court over some of the book's contents, following its initial German publication.)

Electronic / Techno-Pop / Synth-Pop

A thrilling return to the Techno-Pop sound that he helped to define with electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk between 1974's 'Autobahn' and 1986's 'Electric Café'An all new electronic album, 'Magazine 1', that has been crafted by Wolfgang Flür alongside some of the most famous names of synth-pop and electronic dance, past and present. Featuring Midge Ure (Ultravox), Peter Hook (New Order) and Claudia Brücken (Propaganda), alongside the legendary Techno DJ's Juan Atkins and Carl Cox and Electro-Pop titans U96, plus appearances by celebrated alternative electronic artists and composers Ramón Amezcua (AKA Bostich), MAPS and Anushka, adding just a frisson of deft contemporary nuance to the proceedings!Wolfgang Flür is the only surviving member of that classic Kraftwerk line-up who is currently making and releasing new music! No-one currently making Techno-pop records has Wolfgang Flür's career longevity and revered stature and, perhaps, no-one has ever made electronic records with such a warm and radical lyrical humanism. Songs that musically draw on a readily identifiable retro-electro palate, but which lyrically speak to us of our times, of our shared 'here and now' with a campaigning humanism that reflects on the challenges, disorientations and uncertainties of this unprecedented time of change.

The oratorio "The Creation" is one of the highlights of Joseph Haydn's late oeuvre. The work, first performed in 1798, is considered the most successful work by the great composer and, at the same time, a prime example of the classical oratorio. The present recording of the creation dates from 1975. In the leading roles will sing the award-winning American soprano Helen Donath, the German tenor Adalbert Kraus and the Swiss bass baritone Kurt Widmer. They will be accompanied by the alto Vera Scherr as well as the Süddeutsche Madrigalchor and the Festival Orchestra Ludwigsburg, under the direction of Wolfgang Gönnenwein, the longtime artistic director of the festival (1972 to 2004).

Wolfgang Riechmann started his musical career in 1966. After playing in a school band with Michael Rother and Wolfgang Flür, later famous with Kraftwerk and Neu, he then became member of an other Düsseldorf (Germany) located band called "Streetmark". It was end of 1977 when Riechmann started working on his solo career. The result was the LP "Wunderbar" which was released on SKY Records. Unfortunately he did not experience the release. In August 1978 Riechmann was killed - without any reason - by two drunk guys, who stabbed him to death.
