Since the country's 2011 protests sparked the Arab Spring, Tunisia has been the country most willing to publicly engage with the issue of women's rights. Now, with the President leading the way, Tunisia's Sharia based inheritance laws, under which women are only entitled to half of what men receive, are being challenged. But, there is fierce resistance from Tunisia's conservative religious community. They've been blocking reform efforts for more than 30 years. Nada Issa finds out if the time has finally come for Tunisia's women to get their fair share.

Do you think of the West Country in the 1980's as a source of plentiful pop acts? Go on, pull the other one! With the music that's normally associated with Bristol, Bath and places out west, a number of stereotypes come to mind. That can be down to the known success stories or just plain perception. There has always been a broad picture of the scope of music that has come out of the west end of the M4 and M5 in general, from the more fundamental areas of rock, indie, reggae, rap, R 'n B and dance music, through to the more arcane areas of post-punk, jazz, punk-funk, punk jazz, art-rock and even once in a while a moody singer-songwriter.

The Rah Band was formed by Richard Anthony Hewson (RAH) in 1977, and launched with 'The Crunch', a strange compelling instrumental which was a mixture of glam stomp, space age jazz and futuristic pop that was recorded DIY style in his bedroom. The single reached No. 6 in the UK singles chart and launched a career that has spanned 25 studio and compilation albums and over 40 singles, enjoying chart and sales success in both the UK and a number of overseas territories. Richard Hewson is still recording today and this collection of his recordings covering the period 1985-1998 demonstrate Hewson's role as the shapeshifting sonic adventurer with demiurgic power.

Graham Dee was one of those who helped make the sixties great. He was there as writer, producer and session guitarist. He had played in the final line-up of The Moments with Steve Marriott and then continued with a Marriott connection by playing rhythm guitar on the East End Fab Four's debut single What'Cha Gonna Do About It. He joined bands such as Them, The Walker Brothers, The Gass, He even filled in the the "absent" Syd Barrett on some Pink Floyd shows. However, he was primarily a writer and producer. He teamed up with Brian Potter who had co-written What'Cha Gonna Do About It with Ian Samwell. They became the staff songwriters at Polydor Records. Some of the duo's work will already be familiar to fans of The Fleurs de Lys as they wrote tracks such as Daughter of the Sun which was sung by Sharon Tandy backed by The Fleurs de Lys. They also wrote a number of other tracks specifically for Sharon Tandy. Graham Dee has an extensive archive and this is CD is the first of three planned collections.
