Tiny Parham (who was actually rather large) was most significant as an arranger/bandleader in Chicago who recorded many memorable sides from 1927-1930. After growing up in Kansas City, Parham toured the Southwest with a territory band and then settled in Chicago in 1926. In addition to accompanying blues singers and cutting sides with Johnny Dodds, Parham recorded extensively with His Musicians, bands that mostly consisted of now-obscure Chicago players; best-known are cornetist Punch Miller and (in 1930) bassist Milt Hinton. Parham's arrangements were often atmospheric, and such numbers as "The Head-Hunter's Dream," "Jogo Rhythm," "Blue Melody Blues," "Blue Island Blues," "Washboard Wiggles," and "Dixieland Doin's" were particularly memorable…

The Complete Motown Singles has been a dream project of Motown and soul fanatics for many years, ever since the first decade of Stax/Volt singles was compiled in an impressive nine-disc box set in 1991. Prior to that, no soul label had its output as thoroughly documented as that set – there had been the Atlantic R&B box, which collected highlights, but it never attempted to capture the label's entire run – and while The Complete Stax-Volt Singles 1959-1968 missed a B-side or two, it was an exceptional piece of music history, and pretty damn entertaining to boot.

Bendix's concerto is quite simply one of the great piano concertos of the 19th century yet it is hardly known, probably for two reasons: Bendix does not have a particularly distinctive style and this work, most unusually for its period, is not a display concerto and so would not appeal to all pianists. However, the concerto's ideas are first-rate and the whole piece is superbly constructed and very tautly argued. Although Bendix's symphonies are clearly influenced by the Russian school, this concerto is more Germanic in style so, if you like Brahms, give it a try. It will take a few hearings to find your way around but the rewards will be enormous.

In 1976, Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards founded the legendary CHIC Organization Ltd. Together they wrote and produced many number one hits and very quickly became the biggest hit music factory since Motown. A few years after the dawn of Disco, Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards disbanded The Chic Organization Ltd., but they kept on playing & producing, with Nile Rodgers quickly becoming the biggest pop producer of the 80’s. In 1983, he produced David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” and in 1984, Madonna’s “Like a Virgin”. Many more artists also benefited from his incredible production skills and unique guitar style, including Mick Jagger, INXS, Duran Duran, Eric Clapton, Hall & Oates, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Mariah Carey, Maroon 5, Michael Jackson, Grace Jones…to name but a few.

On three CDs, 72 HandsUp tracks have been found. DJ could be won for each record, which packed the songs into a continuous mix. Ti-Mo, Timster and Nikit are responsible for the tracklist this time. We will consider in detail what titles have been achieved on the Songliste of TechnoBase.FM! HandsUp-Urgestein Ti-Mo is the beginning. He adds the first mix of DJs and starts his own production. Timster is the man of the second CD.-Resident Nikit is the third member of the band who was allowed to hand a CD. Even though the HandsUp genre is very hard now, there are always bright stars in the sky. One of them is the upcoming TechnoBase.FM Vol. 17.
