After the death of her husband, Christine realizes she has possibly wasted her life by marrying him instead of the man towards whom, in her youth, she had a stronger inclination. To overcome these dreary thoughts, she decides to find out about him and the other men who danced with her during a ball that was a turning point in her life, many years ago. She pays a visit to those forgotten acquaintances one after the other; Christine is not only surprised to see how they have fared, but also discovers the impact she had, unknowingly, on the feelings and the destiny of these persons.

From Jean-Luc Godard, possibly the most influential European film director of all time comes IN PRAISE OF LOVE, a mesmerizing and lyrical meditation on love, and the role history and memory play in shaping human consciousness, past and present. Structured in two parts, the film opens in Paris, where the young artist Edgar is developing a project on the four stages of a love affair- meeting, sexual passion, separation. and rediscovery. During the casting process, Edgar discovers a beautiful young woman who he is convinced he has met before. In the second part, set two years earlier, Edgar interviews an elderly couple- former Resistance fighters during the war- only to find that their memories are being bought up for a Steven Spielberg blockbuster. Linking the two parts is Edgar's relationship with the enigmatic woman he met and re-encounters. IN PRAISE OF LOVE is a combative but tender work that stubbornly asserts the importance of love, art and memory. A film of great intellectual freedom, elusive meanings and overwhelming visual beauty, Godard has never seemed more young, fresh and original.

The first feature film directed by Jean-Luc Godard and one of the seminal films of the French New Wave, Breathless is story of the love between Michel Poiccard, a small-time hood wanted for killing a cop, and Patricia Franchini, an American who sells the International Herald Tribune along the boulevards of Paris. Their relationship develops as Michel hides out from a dragnet. Breathless uses the famous techniques of the French New Wave: location shooting, improvised dialogue, and a loose narrative form. In addition Godard uses his characteristic jump cuts, deliberate "mismatches" between shots, and references to the history of cinema, art, and music. Much of the film's vigor comes from collisions between popular and high culture: Godard shows us pinups and portraits of women by Picasso and Renoir, and the soundtrack includes both Mozart's clarinet concerto and snippets of French pop radio. When Breathless was first released, audiences and critics responded to the burst of energy it gave the French cinema; it won numerous international awards and became an unexpected box-office sensation.

Bob (Jacques Charrier) vient de la banlieue parisienne(signifie les quartiers huppés). Il tombe par hasard sur Alain (Laurent Terzieff), un jeune étudiant existentialiste avec qui il sympathise aussitôt. Ce dernier l’invite à venir à la superboum organisé par Clo (Andrea Parisy), fille de diplomate. Après une brève liaison avec cette dernière, Bob tombe amoureux de Mic (Pascale Petit), une autre fille de la bande d’Alain. Seulement, l’époque veut qu’on ne peut pas se dire ces choses là. Il faut rester libre quitte à fermer ses sentiments à double tour. Le résultat n’en sera que plus tragique…

Un homme scrute avec appréhension la trajectoire d’un avion à l’horizon. "À cause de ce salaud de Bachar, on regarde en permanence vers le ciel ! On ne regarde même plus devant nous !" Khaled est membre de la Défense civile syrienne, un groupe de volontaires également appelés "Casques blancs" qui portent secours aux civils assiégés, pris sous le feu des bombes larguées par le régime et son allié russe. À chaque nouvelle frappe, ces hommes ordinaires, autrefois ouvriers ou étudiants, s’engouffrent dans des fourgonnettes à bout de souffle pour sécuriser les zones ravagées, extirper les corps ensevelis sous les décombres, ramasser les membres disloqués…

Épuisement des ressources naturelles, surpopulation, désertification, désastres écologiques et économiques, systèmes politiques à bout de souffle, appauvrissement des classes moyennes et populaires… Est-il urgent de renoncer à "l'illusion du progrès" qui s'est imposée progressivement à toutes les sociétés depuis les débuts de la révolution industrielle, avec ses espoirs de croissance et d'avancées technologiques illimités ?

A l'heure où la question de l'accueil des migrants est chaque jour posée de façon urgente, Docs interdits revient sur les questions de fond qui traversent notre pays et sa tradition de "terre d'accueil".
La France ne serait pas en mesure d'intégrer ses immigrés. Le modèle sur lequel elle fonctionne depuis un siècle et demi serait à bout de souffle. Les nouveaux arrivants menaceraient les valeurs républicaines et une "identité nationale". Ces questions divisent les Français comme elles divisent nos élus. Combien voulons-nous accueillir d'étrangers ? Comment intégrer nos immigrés ? Sommes-nous à un tournant de notre Histoire ? Et dans ce cas de quelle nature est-il ? Quels choix se posent aujourd'hui à la société ? Quels enjeux pour l'école, les enseignants et les nouvelles générations ?
