By 1977, the world had passed Slade by. At that point, they had been concentrating exclusively on cracking the U.S.A. for several years, without much success, and punk rock happened in Great Britain and literally blew hitmakers like Slade off the map. Whatever Happened to Slade? had the misfortune of following what was easily the band's worst album at that point, Nobody's Fools, which did squat in England and not much more in the U.S.A. The record was released only on band manager Chas Chandler's Barn Records, since no one else would touch it in the U.S. or Europe.

To some he's the godfather, to others he's the king. Long before bedroom recording became an aesthetic choice, R Stevie Moore built a legend of pop experimentalism, home recording, and mystic curmudgeonry. Equal parts songwriter, improviser, composer, producer, filmmaker, artist, and comedy writer, the self-taught Tennessean polymath has released hundreds of homemade albums since the '60s–and inspired a thousand times more. Rather than pose and slither in the music biz, Moore opted for a more genuine life and a spot on the staff at legendary indie radio station WFMU, sharing Bedroom Radio with the world. His independent streak extends to his record releases, the R. Stevie Moore Cassette Club successful and long-lasting enough that it became the R. Stevie Moore CD-R Club.

Slade may have never truly caught on with global audiences (often narrow-mindedly deemed "too British-sounding"), but the group became a sensation in their homeland with their anthemic brand of glam rock in the early '70s, as they scored a staggering 11 Top Five hits in a four-year span from 1971 to 1974 (five of which topped the charts). Comprised of singer/guitarist Noddy Holder (born Neville Holder, June 15, 1946 in Walsall, West Midlands, England), guitarist Dave Hill (born April 4, 1946, in Fleet Castle, Devon, England), bassist Jimmy Lea (born June 14, 1949, Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England), and drummer Don Powell (born September 10, 1946, Bilston, West Midlands, England), the group originally formed in the spring of 1966 under the name the In-Be-Tweens, playing out regularly with a mixture of soul and rock tracks.

Bersurke is a Hip Hop artist/producer from Massachusetts. As a hip hop junkie, (amongst many other genres of music) his hardcore style is raw and grimey, although he is no stranger to bringing something a little smoother. Founding Supreme Corpse Records in 2012, he focuses on strict lyricism and a unique old school style mixed with comedy. He continues on his mission of keeping the traditional sound of hip hop alive and expands each year alongside illEvan and Daddio Smoov.

One look at that album cover and you know. That psychedelic, retro flared light…we’re in spiritual jazz territory, deep in Pharaoh Sanders/Alice Coltrane/ Albert Ayler land. But fear not faithful traveller, Run Logan Run don’t deal in intimidating exclusivism, their debut album is a heavy (daddio), melodic cosmic joy.
