Underground folk legend Malcolm Holcombe releases his twelfth full length album, Another Black Hole. Comprised of 10 new songs, Malcolm is accompanied by his usual recording ensemble of Jared Tyler on dobro, David Roe on bass, and Ken Coomer on drums. Very special guest Tony Joe White is also featured on several tracks, with his inimitable swamp guitar sound, propelling Malcolm's distinctive Appalachian folk into regions previously untapped. Also appearing are Future Man percussion and Drea Merritt on vocal harmonies. Another Black Hole is sure to captivate both long term fans as well as be a revelation to the uninitiated.

Black holes entered the world of science fiction and films in the 1960s, and their popularity in our culture remains today. The buzz surrounding black holes was and is due, in large part, to their speculative nature. It is still difficult for the general public to determine fact versus fiction as it pertains to this terrifying idea: something big enough to swallow anything and everything in close proximity, with a gravitational force so strong that nothing, including light, can escape.

Astronomer Shep Doeleman and his team are on a mission that will challenge the theories of Albert Einstein and could pave the way to a revolution in physics: to capture the first-ever image of a black hole. To do this, they must link eight multimillion-dollar observatories around the world to a spot 26,000 light years away. It's the equivalent of spotting an orange on the moon, but after 10 years of planning and the combined brainpower of over 200 international scientists, the team feels they're ready to make scientific history.
