The new Beyond album, ‘Awakening Beyond’ will feature Buddhist nun singing for freedom, Ani Choying Drolma as well as Jewish Sephardic singer Mor Karbasi. The great Regula Curti, the creator of the Beyond albums will once again unite her voice with the mesmerizing Sawani Shende. Tibetan singer Dechen Shak-Dagsay however won’t be featured on the new album, currently promoting her ‘Day Tomorrow’ album.

Beyond Sensory Experience is a dark ambient music project created by Drakh and K. Meizter in Uppsala, Sweden 2001. The foundation of Beyond Sensory Experience developed during long intoxicated discussions about the correlation between numbers, music and life. These three areas would serve as the corner stones for the creation of the Beyond Sensory Experience philosophy. During 2002 episodes of different musical contexts were tried out until the final concept evolved in collaboration with the Italian label Old Europa Café. Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero scored an artistic success with her previous EMI disc Gabriela Montero: Piano Recital, consisting of two discs, of which the second consisted entirely of improvisations. With Bach and Beyond, Montero dives into her first all-improvisation disc, and while it is not a completely unqualified success artistically, it can be a refreshing swim.

Captain Beyond, the first album by Captain Beyond, was released in 1972, and featured former members of Iron Butterfly, Deep Purple, Johnny Winter, and Rick Derringer. The album was dedicated to the memory of Duane Allman, as indicated on the back cover.

Beyond Fear is a heavy metal band started in March, 2005 by Tim "Ripper" Owens after he left Judas Priest as a side-project apart from his former work with Iced Earth. It appeared for a spell in the '90s that the "classic metal singer" – specifically of the Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson, and Geoff Tate mold – was a near extinct beast. But along came Halford disciple Tim "Ripper" Owens, and the floodgates opened once more. Having appeared on releases by Judas Priest and Iced Earth, it wasn't until Owens launched Beyond Fear that he was able to truly take center stage in the songwriting department. Although adamant that Beyond Fear is not just a solo project (he enlists the aid of longtime musician pals), it's Owens' voice that is the main focus throughout Beyond Fear.

Organist Jon Lord supposedly left Deep Purple to retire and take it easy, after he'd spent much of his life recording and touring the world with Purple and other artists. But upon his exit from the band, Lord played gigs and issued albums on his own, such as 2004's Beyond the Notes…
