Gravestone was a German heavy metal band, formed in 1977 as originally a progressive rock outfit, before going in to the heavy metal genre. Gravestone released five studio albums between 1977 and 1986 before splitting up. With origins dating back to 1977, Gravestone were one of several German hard rock bands who initially experienced nothing but failure (they released two early LPs few people have ever heard of: 1979's Doomsday and 1980s War), yet hung around long enough to enjoy a small taste of recognition following the colossal '80s success of countrymen like the Scorpions and Accept. Innocent Victim is the 11th studio album by British rock band Uriah Heep, released in November 1977 by Bronze Records in the UK and Warner Bros. Records in the US. Although it did not chart in the US or UK, Innocent Victim went on to sell more than 1 million copies in Germany alone, and reached No. 19 and No.. 44 in New Zealand and Australia, respectively. The single "Free Me" was a No. 1 hit in New Zealand and peaked at No. 3 in South Africa. The eyes of drummer Lee Kerslake were used for the snake on the cover artwork. In the US, the sleeve was a live photomontage instead. The album was remastered and reissued by Castle Communications in 1997 with two bonus tracks, and again in 2004 in an expanded deluxe edition including three live tracks recorded during the band's 1979 European tour (these are alternate versions to the ones released on the Live in Europe 1979 album).

Victim of Love, released in 1979, is the thirteenth official album release for Elton John. It is a disco album, released shortly after the peak of disco’s popularity. The title track of the album was moderately successful as a single. It reached No. 31 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and No. 46 in Canada. When the album was released as a CD in the 1980s, the track breaks were incorrect. The first 45 seconds of "Spotlight" is part of the previous track, and similar errors occur in other tracks as well. The album was reissued in a digitally remastered format in 2003, with these issues corrected, and with improved sound and instrumental setup.

Judas Priest have announced they’re celebrating their 50th anniversary with a gargantuan limited-edition box set called ‘50 Heavy Metal Years of Music.’Released on Friday 15th October 2021 via Sony Music, the expansive collection boasts all 18 of Judas Priest’s studio albums to date, all the band’s live albums and 13 discs of unreleased music.
The veritable smorgasbord of heavy metal music contained within ‘50 Heavy Metal Years of Music’ was restored and mixed by Tom Allom at La Cucina W8 and mastered by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road Studios.

Wayne Horvitz's group Pigpen pushes the limits of the small avant-garde combo – saxophone, keyboard, bass and drums – taking it noisy, jarring new frontiers. Equal parts rock and free jazz, V as in Victim is a weird journey through a number of styles and sounds – there's some grooves, some soundscapes and some brutally dissonant variations on free jazz. More often than not, the excursions are successful.
