Welcome to 8DIO Natural Acoustic Series – a studio collection of high-end deep-sampled acoustic instruments. The 8Dio Instant 12-String Guitar library contains two different libraries, including our 12-String Guitar Solo and 12-String Guitar Strummer.

Pairing a radiant 12-STRING guitar with the signature sound of the BALALAIKA, we bring you the third entry in our Origins series. The powerful Multi-Arpeggio-Designer (MAD) opens up a whole new world of possibilities with these carefully selected plucked string instruments.

What do you get when you combine two acoustic guitars? A 12-string guitar, but not the kind that you might be familiar with. This experimental 12-string is a unique instrument by Oliver Codd designed to perform in a virtual domain due to its beautifully simple, yet limited design. All of the strings are tuned to the same note, resulting in a large, rich, ensemble-like sound that, while sonically pleasing, renders it very difficult to play in a live context. Through sampling, all of the lovely tones could be captured and the performance limitations transcended, opening up a whole new world of creative possibilities.

The electric 12-string guitar brings an instant late-60s vibe to any pop tune and this library can deliver that characterful jangle with ease. With approximately 5GB of data spread across nearly 700 loops, it is incredibly easy to build a complete 12-string performance.

We are pleased to present Evolution Jumbo 12, the long awaited 12-string acoustic addition to our Evolution guitar series, recorded from a Taylor 355. This guitar sports a silky high end, yet an ample amount of body in the lows and mids–undoubtedly the result of it being a larger sized guitar. Mixed prominently, Evolution Jumbo 12 can cut through the mix with its crisp, bright tone. Played at a feathery-soft dynamic, it adds an exquisite shimmer to your arrangement.
