The film version of Irma la Douce ["Irma the Sweet"] tells the story of Nestor Patou (Jack Lemmon), an honest cop who, after being transferred from a quiet village to Paris, finds a street full of prostitutes and duly reports them. The police inspector, who is Nestor's superior, has been aware of those prostitutes but let them off by accepting bribes…

Star Bruce Lee died before this film was completed, thus the producers were forced to pad out the running time with outtakes and alternate shots. They also lifted chunks of footage from Enter the Dragon and Return of the Dragon. The finished product finally hit the screens in 1978, five years after Lee's death. The film's finale pits Lee against such formidable opposition as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Chuck Norris.

Longfellow Deeds lives in a small town, leading a small town kind of life - including playing the tuba in the town band. When a relative dies and leaves Deeds a fortune, Longfellow picks up his tuba and moves to the big city where he becomes an instant target for everyone from the greedy opera committee to the sensationist daily newspaper. Deeds outwits them all until Babe Bennett comes along. Babe is a hot-shot reporter who figures the best way to get close to Deeds is to pose as a damsel in distress. When small-town boy meets big-city girl anything can, and does, happen.

The Bannon ranch is in a bad way because of an outbreak of foot and mouth disease that may force patriarch Homer (Melvyn Douglas) to destroy his entire herd. Loyal grandson Lonnie (Brandon de Wilde) is swayed by the swaggering, womanizing ways of his Uncle Hud (Paul Newman), who'd be perfectly content to sell off the suspicious herd before it can be condemned. Grandpa Homer doesn't seem to be holding up well under the pressure, while family housekeeper Alma (Patricia Neal) works overtime to fend off Hud's drunken advances.

7-year old Steven Stayner is kidnapped a few days before Christmas by Kenneth Parnell. Under the belief that Parnell has been given legal custody of him, and that his family has moved away, he stays with Parnell for seven years, enduring repetitive sexual abuse the entire time. Finally, at fourteen, he returns home to his family.
