The most populous city in the state of Michigan, Detroit exuded a rock 'n' roll mentality like no other American town. Famously home to Tamla Motown, the Motor City also hosted a plethora of artless teen garage bands, blue-collar heartland rockers Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels, proto- punks The Stooges and MC5, the P-Funk psychedelic soul crew and hard rock heavyweights like Alice Cooper, Grand Funk Railroad and Frijid Pink. Named after the John Lee Hooker/MC5 song that referenced the heavily-reported Detroit civil unrest of July 1967, 'Motor City Is Burning' is a four-hour, 3CD primer of the Michigan music scene during it's late 60s/early 70s heyday.

In 1984, Gary Numan set up his own label, Numa Records, after parting ways with his previous label, Beggars Banquet. The move signified the beginning of a new period in his career, where he was free to experiment and take his sound in a new direction. The first album to be released via Numa was Berserker, which represented a shift toward a harder-edged digital aesthetic, while still honoring the analog textures of his earlier work. The album finds Numan weaving together fictional and personal narratives into a rich tapestry of sound which, even after 40 years, continues to resonate with fans, celebrated for its haunting themes and tracks like "My Dying Machine," "This Is New Love," and "Berserker."
