To mark the 15th anniversary of their very first rehearsal as what would become the original – and still unchanged – lineup of Your Favorite Enemies in the fall of 2005, the band decided to look back at what eventually brought them all over the world by remixing and remastering their first 2 EPs and adding newly discovered demos, writing sessions, and alternative versions of what has become YFE-fan-favorites.
Dorothy is releasing their 2nd full-length album 28 Days in the Valley on 3/9 for Jay Z's Roc Nation. Linda Perry produced & co-wrote several tracks which even with more tender moments still has the gritty rock n roll of 2016's ROCKISDEAD. Recent single "Down To the Bottom" hit #35 on Billboards Mainstream Rock chart. Rolling Stone calls it the "perfect mix of blues thunder and alt-rock guitar crunch." But this time around added layers of emotion fueled by less metal-more Cali desert rock vibes.
Die Form is chiefly the project of French artist Philippe Fichot, who is usually accompanied by singer Eliane P. Primarily an industrial band, Die Form possess a strong gothic sensibility that is manifested in both the music and in the fetishistic sexual imagery of Fichot's lyrics. The project began by recording a number of experimental cassette releases, starting with Die Form 1 in 1977, and with the first Die Form vinyl release ('Die Puppe') appearing in 1982. Whilst the project was still in its infancy, the underlying concepts were still evident - a combination of esoteric electronic experiments with an underlying theme of erotism, death and other 'taboo' subjects, apparent in both the music and the album artwork, which Philippe also produces.
