Acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist ZZ Ward has released her latest single, “Mother,” heralding the start of a profound new chapter in her career with Sun Records.

"Every prog band worth their salt really should do a double album, shouldn't they?" asks Frost* frontman Jem Godfrey. This was one of the initial ideas as the band's songwriter/keyboardist/vocalist approached working on Frost*'s 5th studio album Life in the Wires due out on Oct. 14th, 2024 on InsideOutMusic. The album is Frost* at its most ambitious, offering nearly 90 minutes of music over 14 exquisite tracks. The album is the brainchild of Godfrey who was inspired to create the conceptual world for the album based on the group's previous release Day and Age (2021).

Rochester, NY, garage rock legends The Chesterfield Kings, with their new album We're Still All The Same. Fronted by Andy Babiuk (guitar historian/consultant and esteemed author of 'Beatles Gear: All the Fab Four's Instruments from Stage to Studio', 'Rolling Stones Gear' and other acclaimed books), The Chesterfield Kings' new 14-track album features the recent singles "Fly The Astral Plane", "Electrified" (co-written with Stevie Van Zandt), and "Meet You After Midnight." We're Still All The Same was recorded at Fab Gear Studios in Rochester, NY and produced by the legendary Ed Stasium (The Ramones, Talking Heads, The Smithereens, Mick Jagger to name a few) and serves as the band's first LP in 15 years, after a lengthy hiatus. Throughout the recording of the album, The Chesterfield Kings used over 50 vintage guitars and a massive amount of vintage amps and keyboards (culled from Babiuk's vast collection), resulting in an electrifying blend of classic tones that resonate with a timeless rock 'n' roll spirit, while maintaining a modern edge.

The ghostly and dreamlike opening of the Four Duets, Op. 28 and moods of desolation and loss in the Nine Songs, Op. 69 are linked by the unusually disparate subjects in each set, while the playful spirit of southern Italy and Spain forms part of Op. 58. The programme ends with great musical beauty, depth, and even touches of crude humour in Five Songs, Op. 72.
