Rain is the the 3rd CD from Lew Jetton & 61 South. Both previous previous CDs were "Picks to Click" on XM/Sirius Satellite Radio's Bluesville Channel. While there is some outstanding guitar, piano and harmonica work on the CD, Jetton's forte has always been focusing on writing good, memorable songs, which strike home and in the heart, and he delivers them with a voice which clearly carries the marks of years of emotion and pain. If the early reviews are any indication, Rain will be burning up the airwaves, too!

No one, least of all Moby, expected the album Play to be the runaway success that it was. The album had been out for nearly a year and a half by the time "South Side" was plucked for single release. "South Side," with added vocals courtesy of No Doubt's Gwen Stefani, proved to be a smash with considerable staying power, eventually peaking in the U.S. Top 20. The maxi-single, stocked with remixes and bonus tracks, proved quite a treat for fans. Not only did it include the Gwen Stefani version, but also the original album version (for comparison purposes), two remixes, one instrumental, and two bonus tracks. The version of "South Side" with Gwen Stefani is a no-brainer - turning the song into a duet immediately fleshed out the vocals and made it stronger and edgier than the original…

The North Mississippi Allstars celebrate their 20th anniversary (21st, actually) by going all the way back to their roots. Prayer for Peace is a set comprised mostly of blues and folk covers played by Luther & Cody Dickinson assisted by a cast of friends and longstanding collaborators. While five tracks were tracked at Grand Royal Studios in Memphis with co-producer Boo Mitchell, the remainder of the 11 tunes were cut all over the country with a host of guest musicians.
