The lives of three women intersect in small-town America, where each is imperfectly blazing a trail.

Lively and bustling with sounds, movie screenings in Japan during the silent film era were anything but silent. Silent films in Japan were rarely silent. Screenings were accompanied by live music performed by bands of musicians and narration by katsudo benshi or motion picture narrators. Movie theaters in Japan were home to exciting live performances where the trinity of images, music and narrating conjured up the magic of cinema. The Talking Silents series from Digital Meme recreates this unique Japanese screening format.

Profile of entertainers Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, who have become famed for their irreverent, raised-eyebrow humour and cheeky innuendo. Both hailing from south London, Mel and Sue met at Cambridge and like so many others, honed their self-effacing double act on the stages of Edinburgh before breaking into TV fronting the Channel 4's daytime chat show Light Lunch. While at one point Mel came close to bankruptcy, the duo's luck was in when, in 2010, they were asked to host an unlikely sounding new show called The Great British Bake Off. Its enormous - though unexpected - success established them as top-of-the-game presenting talent.

Samurai 7 tells the story of a village named Kanna. Every year during the harvest a group of bandits come and steal away almost all of the rice that had been harvested that year.
Not only that, the bandits are becoming more demanding, now taking women and children in addition to rice.

Pinky is an awkward young teen who starts work at a spa in the CA. Desert. She becomes overly attached to fellow spa attendant, Millie when she becomes Millie's roommate. Mille is a lonely outcast who desperately tries to win attention with constant upbeat chatter. They hang out at a bar owned by a strange pregnant artist and her has-been cowboy husband. After each of 2 emotional crises, the three woman steal and trade each other's personalities until they settle into a new family unit that seems to give each woman what she was searching for.

A man runs into a woman at a wedding. They start to flirt and talk and find that they get along. Throughout their discussion, the man talks about certain memories as if they were common to the two of them. We gradually learn that there may have been a previous connection between these two when they were younger. This just leaves more questions as their past is slowly revealed.

Claire King (Kay Francis) abandons her fiancé, Martin Brush, and elopes with Bill Landin (Pat O'Brien), unaware that her respected father, Claudius (Thurston Hall), has embezzled and ruined the King-Brush advertising firm, which Martin runs. After Claudius flees, Bill sells his stock to cover the losses and works with Martin to keep the firm together. Bill grows increasingly stressed, and when Claire is successful at bringing in a new account he's worked hard on, he quits, vowing revenge.

Nimi, a beautiful Nigerian single mother to son Sammy, is under pressure from her family to find a suitable husband and who better than the local Reverend? After making friends with Matthew, a British comic-book writer and one of his heroes, Sammy has other ideas…
