Gift from Death tells the extraordinary story of how some people from Northern Ireland are donating their bodies to medical science upon their death. In this revealing and intimate film, we try to understand why people choose to do this and learn the value such a gift has for the education of our young doctors at Queens University, Belfast.

Gertrude Lowthian Bell, sometimes called the "female" Lawrence of Arabia was a British adventurer, archaeologist and political powerhouse, who helped shape the modern Middle East after World War I. The film chronicles Bell's journey into the uncharted Arabian desert and all-male halls of colonial power with never-seen-before archival footage of the region shot a century ago. The film takes us into a past that is eerily current.

A trio of long time pals that caught up with each other fairly quickly after landing in Brooklyn around the same time form various parts of the country, they coalesce here in fine form in a set that could be painted as a tribute to Wes Montgomery's vibe. While there's nothing here to angry up the blood, there's plenty to get your heart beating a little quicker–-in a good way. A lovely, right on, straight ahead jazz guitar trio date, this is a fine addition to any collection fueled by a love for the heart of the tradition. Well done. –Midwest Record

This new recording by Ondine includes the world premiere recordings of four works by the celebrated Finnish contemporary composer Einojuhani Rautavaara (b. 1928). Rubáiyát (2015) is a song cycle based on the poetry of Omar Khayyam (10481131). The work was written for Gerald Finley who in this recording sings the solo part of the orchestral version of the work. Balada (2014), based on texts by Lorca, is a large-scale work for tenor, mixed choir and orchestra. Tenor Mika Pohjonen sings as the soloist.
