A subtle style shift from previous work, these pieces seem less focused on a single piano melody with supporting instrumentation to a wider range with a fuller sound. Just as beautiful! Instead of a single line of thought via a defined melody, these compositions, at least to me, allow a wider choice of focus while listening, perhaps the reason it’s called “Impressions”. Refreshed versions of “Sacred” and “Through the Trees” for those of us who LOVE that style also, in addition to the final track as a continuation of “To the Limit” from before. Keep them coming Mr. Tolk!
