With the incredible response to previous album 'Blood of the Nations' (which introduced new vocalist Mark Tornillo), expectations were high for the next one, but believe this: 'Stanlingrad' not only meets those expectations, but totally surpasses them! Accept's 13th album is amongst their absolute best, and that's not an easy feat. Hail the Metal-Hearted German Gods!
Accept is a German heavy metal band from the town of Solingen, formed in 1976 by guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and former members Udo Dirkschneider (vocals) and Peter Baltes (bass). Their beginnings can be traced back to the late 1960s, when the band got its start under the name Band X. Accept's lineup has changed over the years, which has included different singers, guitarists, bassists and drummers. Their current lineup consists of Hoffmann, vocalist Mark Tornillo, guitarist Uwe Lulis, drummer Christopher Williams and bassist Martin Motnik. Hoffmann has been the sole constant member since its inception, and he and Baltes (until 2018, when the latter left Accept) are the only band members to appear on each album…
When heavy metal titans ACCEPT returned to the stage in 2009, nobody knew that this reunion would also lead to a union of older and younger metal generations, nor that guitar matador Wolf Hoffmann and his fellows were just starting the most successful chapter of their band’s history. After nearly seven years, countless live sensations and three successful albums, with »Blind Rage« even achieving #1 in the official German charts, it is time: ACCEPT have bundled the energy, the rage and the thunderstorm of their 40-year career into a new live DVD, for the first time since their comeback. This result, with its catchy title »Restless And Live« will be launched on January 13th on Blu-ray and DVD, each equipped with two CDs…
The influential group’s 14th studio album was produced by renowned audio engineer Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Napalm Death, Opeth) and is the follow-up to 2012′s Stalingrad, which debuted at #81 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and was hailed as “brilliant” and a record that “the traditional metalhead will really cherish” by Goldmine.
