Acoustic Christmas is the new holiday album from Neil Diamond on Capitol Records. Set for release on October. 28 and followed Nov. 18 by a vinyl version, the holiday collection includes new material alongside Diamond's singular renditions of yuletide classics. Acoustic Christmas was produced by Jacknife Lee (U2, R.E.M.) and Don Was (Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan), the pair behind Diamond's previous release, 2014 s Melody Road.

Released in October 2000, Linkin Park’s debut album, Hybrid Theory, was a massive commercial success; it sold more than 4.8 million copies during its debut year, earning it the status of best-selling album of 2001, while singles such as ‘Crawling’ and ‘One Step Closer’ established themselves as staples among alternative rock radio play lists during the year. Following the success of Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park spent a significant amount of time touring around the United States. The band members began to work on new material amidst their saturated schedule however, spending their free time in their tour bus’s studio. They officially announced the production of a new studio album in December 2002, revealing their new work was inspired by the rocky region of Meteora in Greece, where monasteries have been built on top of the rocks. Linkin Park's second album, named after the location that inspired it, debuted on March 25, 2003 and instantly earned worldwide recognition, going to No. 1 in the US and UK, and No. 2 in Australia.

R.E.M. mark the point when post-punk turned into alternative rock. When their first single, "Radio Free Europe", was released in 1981, it sparked a back-to-the-garage movement in the American underground. While there were a number of hardcore and punk bands in the U.S. during the early '80s, R.E.M. brought guitar pop back into the underground lexicon. Combining ringing guitar hooks with mumbled, cryptic lyrics and a D.I.Y. aesthetic borrowed from post-punk, the band simultaneously sounded traditional and modern. Throughout the '80s, they worked relentlessly, releasing records every year and touring constantly, playing both theaters and backwoods dives. Along the way, they inspired countless bands, from the legions of jangle pop groups in the mid-'80s to scores of alternative pop groups in the '90s, who admired their slow climb to stardom.

CD 1 and CD 2 include Belinda’s singles from her seven solo albums, from her first hit “Mad About You”, via worldwide multi-million sellers like “Heaven Is A Place On Earth”, “I Get Weak”, “Circle In The Sand”, “(We Want) The Same Thing” and “Live Your Life Be Free” to 2013’s comeback single “Sun” and fabulous the brand new recording “Goodbye Just Go”. CD 3 features five rarities. Produced by Chic’s Bernard Edwards, “Dancing In The City” featured in the Whoopi Goldberg film “Burglar”, while “I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)” was in Disney’s “Hercules”. "Bless The Beasts And The Children" is from PETA's 1991 charity album, “Tame Yourself” and "Christmas Lullaby" is from 1995's various artists album “Mother & Child”. Belinda’s version of the Sex Pistols’ “Submission” is from an album of cover versions entitled “Essential Interpretations”, with backing from UK alternative rock band Radiator. The disc is completed by a previously unreleased semi-acoustic live show recorded in Tokyo on 31st October 2013.

The boys in O'Death come from all over the Eastern Seaboard, but got together in 2003 while they were attending the State University of New York in Purchase, NY. They use folk styles — primarily bluegrass and old-time music — for a foundation, but punk, grunge, swing, rock, metal, and jazz figure heavily in their arrangements. The original members were drummer David Rogers-Berry and singer/guitarist Greg Jamie. Rogers-Berry approached Jamie after he finished a solo songwriter gig and suggested forming a gothic folk band.

A double-disc distillation of the six-disc box The Basement Tapes Complete, The Basement Tapes: Raw can't quite be seen as an expansion of the 1975 double-LP The Basement Tapes but rather a necessary revision. Shepherded by the Band's Robbie Robertson, that 1975 double-vinyl inserted Band recordings where they didn't belong, suggesting the group were equal partners when it was really Dylan's show.
