Il tempo circolare: nel racconto di Juan di Anversa che giura per voto il pellegrinaggio a Compostela ma poi è tentato dal «sentore di avventura» e l'insegue tra Siviglia e le Indie, per ritrovarsi all'inizio di ciò che ha vissuto. Il tempo che inverte la sua direzione nel sogno (o realtà?) di Don Marcial, marchese di Capellanías, che da morente nel palazzo in rovina ricomincia a vivere a ritroso, fino al ventre che lo aveva partorito, assieme a tutti i suoi oggetti ritornanti anch'essi alla loro matrice di materia, alberi, pietre, terra. Il tempo sempre uguale: nella vanagloria dei tre giovani, attratti alla guerra per le ricchezze di Troia o delle Indie spagnole o dalle colonie francesi, con la stessa sete di vita e con le stesse fallaci e immobili illusioni..

Family honor, greed, machismo, homophobia, and the dreams of whores collide in a Mexican town. Rich, elderly Don Alejo is poised to sell the town for a profit, needing only to buy a whorehouse to own all the buildings and close the deal. It's owned by a man and his daughter: Manuelita is gay, aging, afraid; he cross-dresses and entertains as a flamenco dancer; he wants to sell and leave. His daughter wants to stay. The return of Pancho complicates things: he's a hothead Alejo tries to control and he scared Manuelita the year before. Things come to a head as Pancho breaks Alejo's hold on him, then flirts and dances with Manuelita and finds himself at risk of being called a "maricón."

The Donaueschingen Festival (Donaueschinger Musiktage) is a festival for new music that takes place in Donaueschingen in south-western Germany every October. This prestigious festival was founded in 1921 and is one of the oldest festivals for contemporary music in the world. NEOS presents the highlights of the 2016 festival in high resolution and surround technique.
