A Kentucky native, Alex spent years working under famed composer Henry Jackman after studying at Belmont University and Berklee College of Music.

BMG will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Extraction. Extraction 2 is a 2023 American action thriller film directed by Sam Hargrave and written by Joe Russo, based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Ande Parks, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Fernando León González, and Eric Skillman. It is a sequel to the 2020 film Extraction, and Chris Hemsworth, Golshifteh Farahani and Adam Bessa reprise their roles, with Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Bernhardt, Tinatin Dalakishvili and Idris Elba joining the cast.

Though known by some for his producing, programming, and writing work in the pop and electronic realms, Henry Jackman is best known as a film composer for action and animated features such as X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, and Captain America: Civil War. He was born in Hillingdon of suburban London, England into a family of industry professionals, including his father Andrew Pryce Jackman, a keyboardist and arranger who's worked with the likes of Yes, Barbra Streisand, and Nanci Griffith. His uncle Gregg Jackman is a sound engineer and producer for artists such as Barclay James Harvest, Seal, and Enya, and his grandfather Bill Jackman played woodwinds for, among others, the King's Singers.
