Alien Eternity (2014) [japanese Ed.]

Ridderstrale officially left the band in 1995 and Staffan Scharrin became the drummer, thus completing the band's present lineup. This new formation released the band's fifth album, "Crash" in 1995. This album featured heavier metal songs than previously recorded by Alien.

In 1988, Alien released their first, eponymous album, including "Only One Woman" as well as "Brave New Love" and "Tears Don't Put Out the Fire", which was released as a single later that year. In 1989, the band released a re-worked version of it for the US/international market, again titled Alien. This album included eight out of the twelve tracks released in the 1988 album, five of which were remixed. Two new tracks were added, "Now Love" being one and a cover of "The Air That I Breathe" the other, both sung by new vocalist Peter "Pete" Sandberg.

The second album from Swedish Melodic Hard Rock masters ALIEN. "Shiftin' Gear" is rarely mentioned among the fans lists as favorite, but when a band has such tremendous Classic as Alien with their self-titled debut, this usually happens. Anyway, "Shiftin' Gear" is another awesome effort from these Swedes.

Jim Jidhed is well known as the original voice of 80's Swedish AOR/pop outfit Alien. Of course he's also had a solo career beyond that. In 1990 Jim released his first solo album called "Jim". Two songs from that album made it in to the charts in Sweden; "Wild Young and Free" and "Silence Is Golden". …

Jim Jidhed, the singer of the legendary AOR band ALIEN, is back in business with his 6th solo album which is entitled "Push On Through". This time Jim has the valuable help of Daniel Flores (The Murder Of My Sweet) who is doin' a damn fine job regarding the production making the final result a pleasant and very enjoyable ride all the way!!!

Melodic rock fans will know Jim as the original lead singer of great Swedish melodic rock band Alien. In 2002, Jim was contacted by the truly great guitarist Tommy Denander. He wanted to record what he said was going to be an classic AOR album with Jim. And so they did. In February 2003 the company Atenzia released "Full Circle" (3rd solo) and sure enough, this album is today a true classic in the genre.
