Après plus de 30 ans de carrière en tant que pianiste, compositeur et orchestrateur, 17 albums comme leader dans différentes formations, j’ai construit mon travail autour d’un axe majeur qui m’est cher et intrinsèque à ma formation de musicien: le mélange du jazz et de la musique classique. En effet, j’ai commencé la musique par l’accordéon et le piano classique, l’écriture et l’orchestration à l’École Normale de Musique de Paris avant de découvrir le jazz et de m’y investir par passion. Je n’en ai pas pour autant oublié ma formation, mon admiration pour certains compositeurs et musiciens classiques, il était donc tout naturel pour moi de travailler dans la continuité de cette expérience.

Star Horse is the shy kid that secretly has a crush on you. Star Horse was formed in early 2011. Maja and Andreas had met in Tokyo and found they shared a longing to create something from the love of 90 s shoegaze. Back home in Stockholm they assembled a four piece group. Individually dissimilar in musical preferences, the soundtrack of Twin Peaks was the common thread for the band to weave from.

This started just over two years ago. I was in Florida as a part of the Escape to Create program. It’s an incredible program by the way. They select musicians, artists, writers, photographers, poets, etc. to come to a beautiful beach community (where they filmed “The Truman Show”) and create for an entire month. I was awarded this opportunity so I could go write a big band with strings record. After about ten days, I had nothing. Turns out, writing a big band record is really, really difficult. Any idea I came up with just fit what The Project H was doing.

Stefano Viana is an Italian guitarist, songwriter and producer who has already caused a stir with his first album "Viana" (2017) which received very positive reviews. Following his passion with enthusiasm Stefano contacted singer and producer Bryan Cole (Giant, Steel City, solo artist) and started to work on new material. Alessandro Del Vecchio was the vocalist on the first outing but this time Bryan Cole is at the mike stand. The music was recorded in a studio like in the "good old days" and this has made a great impact on the end result as the musicians have bonded and made a richer sound. This new album features some great musicians such as Terry Brock and Francesco Marras and also boasts the talents of great American guitar player John Roth from Giant, Winger and Starship. The 10 tracks we have here are all strong songs, there are no fillers here.. just great melodic hard rock played with a passion and flair. This is one album that is going to be talked out in the coming weeks.

Over two years after advance copies teased the jazz press about the capabilities of teenaged alto saxophonist Dmitry Baevsky's surprising chops, the Lineage label finally came into being in early 2006, with Baevsky's debut as one of their inaugural releases. Well accompanied by veterans like pianist Cedar Walton and drummer Jimmy Cobb, along with bassist John Webber and guitarist Ilya Lushtak, the young Russian is still forming his own style, though he has obviously done his musical homework and was prepared for the recording session, which is sometimes a problem with young musicians prematurely given the opportunity to record as leaders.

Forever Amber is a 1947 American romantic drama Technicolor film starring Linda Darnell and Cornel Wilde. It was based on the book of the same name by Kathleen Winsor. It also starred Richard Greene, George Sanders, Glenn Langan, Richard Haydn, and Jessica Tandy. The film was adapted by Jerome Cady, Philip Dunne and Ring Lardner, Jr., and directed by Otto Preminger. The film's score, by composer David Raksin, was nominated for the Academy Award for Original Music Score.
