American Conjuring (2016)

In September of 1961 Al Jardine, Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, and Mike Love stepped up to a microphone together for the fi rst time at the home of Hite and Dorinda Morgan to demo The Beach Boys’ first three songs. Between that September date and March 1962, before signing a seven-year contract with Capitol Records on May 24, 1962, they committed nine songs to tape under the direction of Hite and Dorinda Morgan. Some iconic, others obscure—“Surfin’,” “Luau,” "Lavender,” “Surfin’ Safari,” “Surfer Girl,” “Judy,” “Beach Boy Stomp” (aka “Karate”), “Barbie,” and “What Is A Young Girl Made Of”— Every complete take, false start, master take, and every second of studio banter during these historic recordings is gathered on this landmark collection, Becoming The Beach Boys: The Complete Hite & Dorinda Morgan Sessions. Joseph Bishara is a composer and music producer of a darker flavor. His scores include “The Conjuring” and “The Conjuring 2”, “Annabelle”, “Insidious”, “Insidious Chapter 2”, “Insidious Chapter 3”, “The Other Side of the Door” and many others. Bishara has also appeared onscreen as creature performer in “Insidious” as the Lipstick-Face Demon, “The Conjuring” as Bathsheba, as well as the demon in “Annabelle”. Music production work includes the soundtrack for the cult musical film “Repo! The Genetic Opera” and its successor “The Devil’s Carnival”, as well programming and remix contributions for artists such as Tech N9ne, Marilyn Manson, Rasputina, Danzig, Jane’s Addiction and Nine Inch Nails.

Prolific drummer/composer Dave King is well known for his propulsive work in a number of different bands. From The Bad Plus to Happy Apple to Halloween, Alaska, each group has its own sound and approach, but all are approached in a steadfast manner. These groups are all serious units of focused players who are completely dialed in, honing a solid band sound and identity. It is King’s attraction to a strong group concept that led to his creation of his Trucking Company band and his increasing focus thereon.
