Habiendo cumplido su papel en Vengeance, Vampirella ahora se presenta ante Strike en una serie completamente nueva que surge de las cenizas post-apocalípticas de Vengeance of Vampirella de Dynamite. Over the last ten years, Michael Morley has embraced the acoustic guitar as the means of channeling the darkest threads that have run through his work since the early 1980’s. While he largely made a name for himself as a maverick of primitive electric guitar and electronics in The Dead C and Gate, Morley’s love of song form has never been far from the surface. In recent years, chance discoveries of Spanish and classical guitar records languishing in the discount and free bins at junk shops in South Dunedin proved to be a revelation.

David Russell (born in 1953 in Glasgow) is a classical guitarist. Russell is world-renowned for his superb musicianship and inspired artistry, having earned the highest praise from audiences and critics alike.
When David was just five years of age, his family moved from Glasgow to the Spanish paradise of Minorca, where he very quickly became interested in the guitar, imitating the likes of Andrés Segovia and Julian Bream.
Today, David resides in Galicia, but spends most of his time touring the world, appearing regularly at prestigious concert halls in major cities such as New York, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Madrid, Toronto and Amsterdam. He is also regularly invited to play in music festivals.

This recital offers a kaleidoscopic array of styles unified by South America’s national instrument, the guitar. Titans of Latin American music such as Piazzolla and Barrios Mangoré are represented, but so too are distinctive composers less well known outside of their own countries. Genres such as milonga, Venezuelan waltz and choro are featured, in music suffused with lyric melancholy and vivacious, biting rhythms.

The most famous Brazilian popular guitarist of the last century, Dilermando Reis (1916-1977) recorded over 40 albums between 1941 and 1975. These covered Bach, Barrios, Tárrega, as well as popular Brazilian composers – foremost among whom was Reis himself, who had learnt the instrument from his father, Fernando.
