Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine has announced plans for his much-anticipated second album, ‘I Tell A Fly’, Having recently collaborated with Damon Albarn for the latest Gorillaz album, Clementine’s debut album, ‘At Least For Now’, looked inwards and backwards, follow-up ‘I Tell A Fly’ looks forwards and outwards; to a changing world, ancient struggles, and the individual response. The results render 'I Tell A Fly' as compassionate and empathetic as it is angry, satirical, and critical.

I Tell a Fly is the forthcoming second album by English artist and poet Benjamin Clementine. It follows his Mercury Prize-winning debut album, At Least for Now. According to a press release, the album was written and produced by Clementine, recorded at RAK Studios. It is due to be released on 29 September 2017 in Europe and 2 October in the United States.

The Ghanian-born, UK-based art-soul singer and pianist Benjamin Clementine won the UK’s Mercury Music Prize in an upset with his 2015 debut At Least For Now, and he showed up on a lot of our radars earlier this year with his powerful appearance on Gorillaz’ “Hallelujah Money.” Later this week, Clementine will release I Tell A Fly, his sophomore album. It’s a sort of concept album about Clementine feeling like an alien wherever he goes, and it veers all over the stylistic map.

Holly Macve's much-anticipated debut album, Golden Eagle. With its spellbinding country and western ballads and devastating emotional delivery, the album is one of the most remarkably assured debuts of this or any other year, especially given she's though only 21 years old. The bulk of Golden Eagle was recorded in Newcastle at the home studio of producer Paul Gregory (of Bella Union label-mates Lanterns On The Lake), with extra recording in Brighton and London with her first touring band and Macve performing on acoustic guitar and piano.
