Big Big Train

Merchants of Light is the second live offering by Big Big Train and is based on the autumn 2017 Concerts at Cadogan Hall, London. It was recorded across three dates 29, 30 September and 1 October 2017, then first released on 27 July 2018. The setlist is made up of 16 tracks and these are drawn from the latest four albums of the band, The Underfall Yard, English Electric, Folklore and Grimspound.

The album traces the story of Big Big Train from some of its earliest pieces of music through to the 2020 line-up.

Welcome to the Planet is the next studio album by Big Big Train and comes six months after the release of the band’s critically acclaimed top 40 album ‘Common Ground.

The Underfall Yard is the sixth studio album by the English progressive rock band Big Big Train, and their first to feature vocalist and multi-instrumentalist David Longdon. It was released on 15 December 2009, by English Electric Recordings. This is the 2021 re-mixed re-issue of The Underfall Yard. All downloads include a PDF of the 16 page album booklet, featuring lyrics, credits and artwork.

An epic progressive rock tour de force, Big Big Train's tenth studio album is its most ambitious yet. Breathing new life into traditional themes and creating a few new ones along the way, the crafts of melody and storytelling beat strongly at the heart of the Big Big Train and inform every track on Folklore. Featuring an eight piece band and brass quintet - augmented by a string quartet - the album provides a superb showcase for David Longdon's emotional vocals and the band's dramatic extended compositions.

The award-winning progressive rock band Big Big Train release their 15th studio album via InsideOut Music marking the first full release with new frontman Alberto Bravin (ex-PFM). The anxiously-awaited unveiling of ‘The Likes Of Us’ follows BIG BIG TRAIN’s massively successful recent European tour, which saw them perform 17 concerts across nine countries, concluding with two triumphant appearances at London’s Cadogan Hall. The album is a stunning piece of work that retains all the elements that make the band so special, including absorbing and memorable arrangements and first-rate musicianship.

Hot on the heels of the excellent "English Electric, Part 2", Big Big Train has released an interesting boxset. This set includes the masterpiece "English Electric, Part 1", the strong but not quite as good "English Electric, Part 2", and four new songs, "Make Some Noise", "Seen Better Days", "Edgelands", and "The Lovers". The alternate track listing mixed in with the new songs might even draw in some new fans. The box is constructed as a book, containing details about the recordings, lyrics and the history behind it all. It is, for sure, a beautiful box and packed with amazing photos and stories.

Recorded at London's Hackney Empire on November 2019, this set features 12 tracks. Blu-ray is 5.1DTS HD Master Audio and stereo. This live release includes recordings of material from the English Electric, Folklore, Grimspound and Grand Tour studio albums. Empire was filmed by Tim Sidwell and audio mixed by BBT's sound engineer Rob Aubrey.
