Black Beanie Dub

Dub & Fire is an expression of The Black Seeds album ’Love & Fire’ in Dub with two of our favourite alchemists in dub production, Scientist and Dr Lee.

Mwamba Dub was originally a (limited) release from 1978 on Delroy Witter's D Roy label. Like Dennis Bovell of Matumbi, Witter took an African term as the inspiration and title for this particular musical project (the name Mwamba came from a children's book and means 'Strength Of The Warrior') and as with 15-16-17's Magic Touch, another outstanding Badda re-release, Bovell himself shows up here as the engineer for the session.

Dub Chill Out is a 1996 compilation of some of the prized and most influential people who helped create the reggae sub-genre known as dub. Focusing on the "version", this was put together by Music Club and is the 23-track version instead of the original 18-track edition.

Magnificent dub album out originally on the Senrab label in 1976. The selection commemorates a series of brilliant sevens and twelves on labels like City Line and Wackies, and sister labels like Upton, Versatile, and Munchie Jackson's Earth imprint. Core rhythm tracks from Jamaica - Treasure Isle mostly, and then mixed by Tubby - had been worked over at the Sounds Unlimited studio on E 24th Street in Manhattan.

Some call him a genius, others claim he's certifiably insane, a madman. Truth is, he's both, but more importantly, Lee Perry is a towering figure in reggae – a producer, mixer, and songwriter who, along with King Tubby, helped shape the sound of dub and made reggae music such a powerful part of the pop music world.
