Blondie is an American rock band founded by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. The band was a pioneer in the early American new wave and punk scenes of the mid-1970s. Its first two albums contained strong elements of these genres, and although successful in the United Kingdom and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the United States until the release of Parallel Lines in 1978.

On New Years Eve 1979, Blondie performed live for The Old Grey Whistle Test BBC 2 TV Show, at The Apollo in Glasgow. Marking the turn of a new decade performing from December 1979 to January 1980, Blondie wowed their live audience with fan favourites such as "Heart Of Glass", "Hanging On The Telephone" and "Denis".

"The Hunter" is the 6th studio album by American band Blondie, released in May 1982. It was Blondie's last album of new material until 1999's No Exit. It was recorded in the fall of 1981 and January and February 1982.

Blonde and Beyond is a unique compilation that gathers some of the band's hit singles along with album tracks, single b-sides and previously unreleased recordings, which include three demos and a live covers.
