Shamall is Norbert Krueler who plays synthesisers accompanied by various guitarists with no less than three appearing on the 4 part opus 'New Age Krautrock Symphony'. Krueler pays tribute to his influences on the sleeve and gives a long list of his favourite artists and includes EM stalwarts like Schulze, T. Dream and Kraftwerk as well as assorted prog and Krautrock bands which really more or less defines Shamall's sound. The eponymous opening (Part 1) to the first CD is tranquil, warm and spiritual in tone with rich voices and pads offering a pleasant listening experience. The aforementioned symphony begins with sweeping dramatic chords, cleverly layered orchestral electronics and less convincing rock rhythms.

This photographic history shows how major manufacturers such as Gibson, Fender, Rickenbacker, National, and others helped make the electric guitar an icon in pop culture and the dominant instrument in pop music.

Buck Owens, along with Merle Haggard, was the leader of the Bakersfield sound, a twangy, electrified, rock-influenced interpretation of hardcore honky tonk that emerged in the '60s. Owens was the first bona fide country star to emerge from Bakersfield, scoring a total of 15 consecutive number one hits between 1963 and 1967. In the process, he provided an edgy alternative to the string-laden country-pop that was prevalent at the time.

Club Ninja is the tenth studio album by the American hard rock group Blue Öyster Cult, released in December 10, 1985 (see 1985 in music). The album was intended as a comeback for the band, whose previous album The Revölution by Night failed to attain Gold status following the success of 1981's Fire of Unknown Origin and 1982's Extraterrestrial Live. Club Ninja sold more than 175,000 copies, falling well short of gold status again, and because of its high cost, Columbia Records executives deemed it a commercial failure.[1] The album was re-issued on compact disc on March 10, 2009, by the Sony-owned reissue label American Beat Records, who had also reissued the band's subsequent 1988 album, Imaginos.

Jackie Payne's rich, sexy and supple tenor voice has an undertone of grittyness that is perfect for this material. These are definately the funky blues - great guitar work by Kenny "Blue" Ray, good arrangements and the Hammond Organ supplies a lot of energy. Jackie's sound ranges from vintage Otis Redding & Bobbie Blue Bland to soul-blues like Johnny Taylor but his sound is definately his own. Killer band, makes you want to jump and shout. These guys should be much better known.
