Big Boy Bloater & The LiMiTs will be releasing their brand new album Pills on 15th June 2018 via Provogue/Mascot Label Group. Following on from 2016’s Luxury Hobo, Surrey born Bloater re-focusses himself and Pills is a reflection of him having a clearer head. Recorded in December 2017 with producer Adam Whalley, the band trimmed down to a power trio of Big Boy Bloater (Vocals/Guitar), Matt Cowley (Drums) and Steven Oates (Bass) for the new album and it kicks off with the rip-roaring title track Pills, an extension from the previous album and highlights the constant need for pills today but has a sinister edge.

After WW II, Chicago Bluesmen like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Guy & Otis Rush, who derived their style from the Mississippi Delta tradition of Charley Patton & Robert Johnson, plugged in their guitars and invented an exciting and powerful format that redefined Blues. When by the mid-sixties most major labels in America had given up on the Blues, white British Blues bands like The Rolling Stones, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, John Mayall & His Bluesbreakers and later Cream and Led Zeppelin re-exported the Blues back across the Atlantic, but with a very distinct Rock influence. Blues Karloff is all about these musical influences; Black and White, British and American, that shaped the musical tastes of the various band members in their youth. On their debut album Blues Karloff salutes some of the Blues legends that every member of the band has been listening to since childhood.

Compiled by R&B authority Lois Wilson, who writes for for Mojo and Record Collector, Chicago Bound is a wide-ranging 3 CD set, capturing many of the finest moments of the legendary Chess Records in it's heyday from the late Forties to the early Sixties. With 86 tracks, there is plenty of opportunity to celebrate the prime blues, R&B and rock 'n' roll released on Chess and it's associated labels Checker and Argo, as well as it's predecessor Aristocrat.

Red Pill Blues is the upcoming sixth studio album by American pop rock band Maroon 5. It is scheduled to be released on November 3, 2017 by 222 and Interscope Records. This is the band's first release to feature Sam Farrar as a studio member after becoming a touring member in 2012. The title of the album refers to the science fiction term of taking the red pill or the blue pill, which originated from the 1999 sci-fi film The Matrix.
