Recorded, helmed, and mostly produced by Phoenix, AZ blues renaissance man Bob Corritore (club owner, record label exec, writer, manager, radio DJ, and harp player), this hour-long disc is a potent example of loose, straight-ahead blues played with guts and low-boil intensity. Spanning 1986-1998, these 16 tracks recorded in Phoenix and Tempe studios feature a variety of classic bluesmen such as Lil' Ed Williams, Henry Gray, R.L. Burnside, Bob Margolin, Jimmy Rogers, Pinetop Perkins, and Bo Diddley (who is prominently pictured with Corritore in the CD's tray). It's well-recorded - clean but never slick - and the performances find a genuine and spontaneous rugged midtempo groove. Which is exactly what the blues should be…

After too many years spent in relative obscurity, McCain rejuvenated his fortunes in 1989 by signing with Ichiban Records and releasing Blues 'n' Stuff, followed three years later by Struttin' My Stuff and Love Desperado. In 2000, McCain released an all-star album This Stuff Just Kills Me for the Jericho label featuring Johnnie Johnson, John Primer, Anson Funderburgh, Jimmie Vaughan, along with the Double Trouble rhythm section of Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton. McCain resurfaced on Ichiban in 2002 with the release of American Roots: Blues.

B'n'T were formed in the early 80 's by Tim Eliott & John Bruce. Constant personnel changes were to eventually lead to a permanent line-up, which encouraged the band to turn professional & saw the release of their debut album in 1985.
