He continues this role with his first-ever entirely acoustic concert, recorded at the venerable Vienna Opera House with a global ensemble put together by longtime creative partner Kevin Shirley . The 2CD/2DVD/Blu-ray, An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House , comes out March 26, 2013 on Bonamassa's label J&R Adventures.

Two years since Joe Bonamassa released his last studio album, he returns with Redemption, his 13th solo studio album and third in a row of all original material. It features a collection of 12 exhilarating songs that reflect the re-birth that he is currently going through. “I’m going through some other stuff in my life I didn’t expect to be going through. It’s a rising, it’s contrition, it’s acceptance, it’s everything. It’s painful, but knowing that there’s a rising coming,” Joe explains. 'Redemption' was recorded with a remarkable collection of musicians, including two (!) extra guitar players (!!), and a guest appearance by country singer Jamey Johnson.

The concert was recorded at the historic Vienna Opera House July 2012 during a very special two-week long unplugged tour, played to a limited audience over seven exclusive European shows. Varying from Bonamassa’s predominantly electric blues shows, this presentation was an all-acoustic concert performance, making it a unique and very special show fans had been waiting years to experience…
