Pearls is the sixth compilation by the German heavy metal band Bonfire. It is a greatest hits collection that was released by UDR in 2016, featuring a double CD set of several of the band’s most popular songs. The songs have all been re-recorded with the band line-up of the time and featured new versions and rewritten lyrics to some. This album was a means to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary.
Since more than 35 years BONFIRE are the embodiment of "Hard'n'Heavy made in Germany". Now they are releasing their most wanted albums "POINT BLANK", "FIREWORKS" and "DON't TOUCH THE LIGHT" as MMXXIII re-recording versions with an entirely new artwork! Available for the very first time as digital format on all streaming providers, as colored limited and none limited vinyl and as CD digipack. Within their career Bonfire collected several million streams and plays and reached with one of their letest releases "Fistful Of Fire" #35 in German album charts' first week and also entered Swiss charts on #43.
Mars Bonfire's late-'60s material occasionally bears some resemblance to Steppenwolf, particularly in the use of heavy organs. But in fact this is certainly on the lighter and more pop-flecked side than Steppenwolf, which might both disappointment Steppenwolf fans who seek this out on the basis of the "Born to Be Wild" connection, and make this LP a rather pleasant surprise to those fearing bombastic late-'60s hard rock on the order of Steppenwolf's less impressive aspects. There is a version of "Born to Be Wild" here that is far tamer and less effective than Steppenwolf's hit cover. Yet on about half the album Bonfire favors a pretty airy pop-psychedelic approach (reminiscent of his "Tomorrow's Ship" composition on the single for pre-Steppenwolf outfit the Sparrow, written under his real name of Dennis Edmonton) to both his songwriting and arrangements…
Legendary German hard rockers Bonfire strikes back with the brand new album "Higher Ground".
Bonfire are one of the most seminal German hard rock bands of the past fifty years. Originally founded as Cacumen in 1972 by guitarist Hans Ziller in Ingolstadt, Germany, the group initially played local venues, steadily building a fan base before releasing their first album under the name Cacumen.
The band’s trademarks continue to be and always have been deeply melodic hard rock songs, driven by captivating guitar
parts, grooving rhythms and haunting vocal melodies. To this day, band founder/guitarist Hans Ziller and his exceptional group regularly awe their fans with new releases and impressive shows.
"Higher Ground" is a new life chapter for Bonfire and the very first release under the wings of Frontiers Records.
BONFIRE are announcing their album-release for April 03rd 2020! The new longplayer "Fistful Of Fire" comes with a compelling Hard Rock cover artwork and 14 outstanding new tracks. The combination of toughness and great melodies suites BONFIRE perfectly. The German Hard Rock Legends show again all their typical trademarks, dearly beloved by fans all around the globe: charismatic vocals, catchy riffs and hooks and driving grooves! "Fistful Of Fire" is definitely one of the toughest BONFIRE albums ever. “This development already became apparent the last time around,” explains guitarist and founder member Hans Ziller. “However, this time our approach was even more focused and consistent."
Bonfire's trademarks are and have always been deeply melodic hard rock songs, driven by captivating guitars, grooving rhythms and haunting vocal melodies. All the features that came together so perfectly on their most popular releases Fireworks (1987), Point Blank (1989) and Branded (2011) are present on their current release Temple Of Lies. Thanks to their new vocalist Alexx Stahl, who joined the fold two years ago, and a first-rate line-up on all instruments, the band's creativity explodes on Temple Of Lies and is bound to wow a younger generation of rock music fans, too. Hans Ziller: "With this line-up, we'll be able to increase the hardness level of our material whenever we feel like it. Numbers such as 'Temple Of Lies' and 'Stand Or Fall' wouldn't have been possible with previous line-ups." It's not only the occasionally tougher pace that impresses on Temple Of Lies (produced by Hans Ziller at the Flatliners Recording Studios in Ingolstadt) from the first to the very last note, but also the album's diverse high-quality songwriting in general.
Branded is the twelfth album by the German hard rock band Bonfire. It was released in 2011 by LZ Records and Sony Music. This is the first full album to be released with Bonfire's original drummer, Dominik Huelshorst, back behind the drum kit for the band. Two extra tracks were included, acoustic versions of "I Need You" (from the Strike Ten album) and "Rivers Of Glory" (from the Knock Out album) that were recorded in 2011 with Claus Lessmann and Hans Ziller playing acoustic guitars and Chiara Ziller (Hans' daughter) on piano.
