Borderland Generation

Anders Fjeldsted is a highly requested bassist of his generation, who draws inspiration from pioneers such as Charles Mingus, Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis. In 2017, he received the Bent Jædig Award and has subsequently toured with his sextet that consists of some of country’s strongest jazz voices. The sextet demonstrates, despite their relatively short carrier and the member’s young ages, a superciliously musical and technical skill level which manifests the sextet as an important new star on the Danish jazz heaven.
