Yello is a Swiss electronic duo band consisting of Dieter Meier and Boris Blank. The band is known for their 1985 single "Oh Yeah" which featured in the films Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Secret of My Success, American Pie Presents: The Book of Love, K-9, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, and as the theme song for the character Duffman on The Simpsons. Their 1988 single "The Race" peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart, and was also featured in the film Nuns on the Run.

The ambitious Swiss electronic duo Yello comprised vocalist/conceptualist Dieter Meier - a millionaire industrialist, professional gambler, and member of Switzerland's national golf team - and composer/arranger Boris Blank. The two began collaborating in 1979 and debuted with the single "I.T. Splash." After a steady ascent, their star rose significantly with the inclusion of their 1985 single "Oh Yeah" in John Hughes' Ferris Bueller's Day Off. They consolidated their subsequent international success with 1988's "The Race," a Top Ten hit in seven countries. Next came a move into film, while maintaining a six-album run of Top Ten placings on the Swiss charts that stretched into the late '90s. Although Yello's releases became less frequent in the new century, the duo became even more successful in their homeland…

Boris Christoff was a Bulgarian operatic bass of the 20th century who specialized in roles from Verdi and Mussorgsky. He was also active as a recitalist and made several recordings of songs by Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky, and other Romantic era composers. He was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria in 1914. His mother was Russian, and his father was a Bulgarian teacher who also sang at a nearby church. 2016 release from the Swiss electronic duo. Yello's thirteenth album - and first in nine years - is a super-smart, electronic smorgasbord of moods and styles from the liquid synths of it's lead-off single 'Limbo' to continental torch songs like 'Dark Side' and the shimmering Balearic sunset moods of 'Blue Biscuit'. Toy is nothing less than the unmistakable sound of Dieter Meier and Boris Blank gleefully working at the top of their game after nearly four decades making music together.
