Breaking Mad

Two Classic Albums From Mad River is a 2000 CD by Mad River. Released by Collectors' Choice Music, it compiles two of the albums Mad River released for Capitol Records: 1968's Mad River and 1969's Paradise Bar And Grill. The band were David Robinson, Greg Dewey, Lawrence Hammond, Rick Bockner, and Tom Manning. They were a Berkeley band (with roots in Ohio) who played the Bay Area scene in the late 1960's before breaking up, with some members moving on to other bands.

They were trying to do what no one had ever done before, to surpass a barrier that many experts had felt was impenetrable not long before. The test pilots who made history recall one of the great challenges of aviation, risking their lives BREAKING THE SOUND BARRIER.
