Australia’s Lisa Mitchell has been something of a national treasure since she first captured hearts on Australian Idol in 2006. Since her breakthrough, her three albums have all hit the top 10 on the Australian album charts and she has scored five ARIA Award nominations.

Formed in San Francisco in 1979 and fronted by Debora Iyall, Romeo Void recorded three albums for Frisco Indie 415 Records after being brought to the label's attention by Rick Ocasek of The Cars. Benefactor, the band's second release in 1982, was followed by the slicker 1984 set Instincts produced by David Kahne (who would go on to produce The Bangles). Benefactor includes the hit 'Never Say Never'. Instincts features the hit 'A Girl In Trouble Is A Temporary Thing'.

Cale never scored a breakthrough hit like Reed's "Walk On the Wild Side," but this new two-CD collection of Cale's mid-'70s releases-including all of the Fear, Slow Dazzle, and Helen of Troy albums plus assorted unreleased rarities-is the perfect opportunity to reassess his influential merger of art-rock smarts, classical melodicism, theatrical drama, and punk-rock abandon.
